Toru TV Episode 1

Hi, welcome to Toru TV. Room 3 will be making videos as part of our PB4L lessons to help remind students how to behave respectfully and responsibly. This week we are focusing on showing respect by listening to others. Here are some of our videos (the first one is an introduction).

Summer Learning Journey

Thank you Megan for dropping off prizes for the students who took part in the Summer Learning Journey. Well done to everyone who completed tasks. And an extra special congratulations to Toe'umu who completed the most tasks out of anyone from the whole Ako Hiko cluster! Awesome effort. Enjoy your prizes!

2018!

Welcome back to school everyone. We've had a great start to the year and have been designing our new class site. Here are some of the buttons that didn't quite make it onto the website. To see the ones that did click here.

Cultural Festival

On Saturday heaps of us went to Rocket Park for the Cultural Festival. The Tongan Group, Samoan Group and Cook Island Group all performed amazingly. We had to wait patiently for our turns. Here are the Tongan and Samoan Groups on stage:

Marvelous MERC

In Week 4 the Kea team (Room 3 and Room 4) went to Long Bay to participate in marine education. While we were there we persisted with activities like kayaking, body boarding, abseiling and raft building. We had to show respect, collaborate with others and try to participate in all activities.

Proving what we've learnt!

This week in Room 3 we are doing lots of assessments. Sometimes they are challenging but we are excited to show everyone what we have learnt this year. To help us with these assessments, we made Google Drawings to show how we can be respectful and responsible. Here is Nila's poster:
