School Band Try Teaching

Today during our last band practice of term we opened the doors to let anyone come and have a go at the instruments. Looks like we have some future band members AND some future music teachers...

SSS - Superb Subtraction!

We had an awesome week working of Students Sharing Strategies. I'm so proud of Room 3's collaboration, communication, critical thinking, problem solving and creativity (let me know if any of the links don't work).

Fusion Day with Auckland Rugby

Today we were lucky enough to have some coaching from Auckland Rugby. This was part of our first Fusion Day which also included some activities about healthy food choices. Thank you to Sport Auckland for organising this great day.

SSS Version 2

To finish our work on addition and subtraction for the term Room 3 have started Students Sharing Strategies (version 2). Students are working together in mixed groups to teach each other strategies they have learnt this term. They then choose the best strategy to solve a specific problem. Watch this space to see the Google Drawings they create. The resources may even help you or your class learn a new strategy!

School Band's First Performance 2017

Yesterday afternoon (Friday afternoon) the school band were playing rude.This was the first time the band played for this year for room 5's assembly.

When the  bell rang for classes to go inside me and John (I am the one on the electric guitar and John is the one on the bass) waited and started setting up the stuff.

Me and John were nervous at that time because he said, "We might mess it up.’’

So when we were playing we tried our best to play and we got through the whole thing not making one mistake

So all of us were happy.

And had a good day.

Helping Words vs Fighting Words

We've been learning to take notice of how our words can affect other people. We decided that using helping words is a more positive way of talking to each other and showing each other respect.
