Jagged Smackdowns

We are all different. This week in Room 3 we have been working on our jagged profiles. This includes skills like listening, speaking, collaborating and being organised. We shared what we learnt with a one minute smackdown. Here are the slides we created with a few pictures of students sharing their work.

Students Sharing Subtraction Strategies

This week Room 3 have been collaborating to make some resources for other teachers to use to teach subtraction. Check out all the different strategies we have learnt this term! Which one would you use to solve these problems?

Resilience Writing

For the last few weeks we have been learning a lot about being resilient. We collaborated with some buddies to write some stories about how a made up character (Ronnie) showed resilience. He might BEND but he will not BREAK!

Touch!

Well done to the boys and girls in our touch teams who had an awesome time at the Eden Albert Zone day on Thursday. They represented our school amazingly, showed great sportsmanship and worked so well together. Here's our boys team who came 5th in their grade after a 1-0 win in their play-off (sorry I don't have any pictures of the girls' team).

Whanowhano

We just couldn't wait for Harko Brown to come back so we learned some of our own traditional games. We found a great game called whanowhano and then wrote our own instructions. We hope you enjoy them and give the game a try!

Toru TV Episode 4

This week our behaviour of the week is being responsible by being on time. This includes getting to school on time and getting back to class quickly after morning tea and lunch play times. Let's see how Room 3 get on. Do you think you can get back to class quicker than them?

This coming week our focus behaviour is keeping our hands and feet to ourselves. Room 3 had a go at reading the news after thinking about what the world would be like if everyone showed this behaviour.
