In Room 3 we are all jagged. This means we are all good at different things and need to work on different things. Last week Room 3 students got advice from their families, friends and YouTube to work on their jagged goals. They then had 60 seconds to present their findings at our first ever Room 3 Smackdown!
Alisi on her goal of speaking:
Krisina on her goal of listening:
Toe'umu (via screencastify as she wasn't even in the room for the smackdown!) on her goal of leadership:

Mōrena Room 3,
ReplyDeleteYour Jagged Smackdown looks like a fantastic way to celebrate your differences and the goals you are working towards. Well done for sharing them with your class in different ways. I liked that you got advice from lots of different people, friends from school, whānau at home and from researching on the internet. You have shared some great ideas for being a good listener, being a good leader, being able to speak in front on an audience and many other things. Did you enjoy a Smackdown as a way of presenting your learning?
Tania
Thanks for your comment Tania. We did enjoy our smackdown because it helped us become more confident when presenting. It was also a good chance for us to teach others. We hope you comment on our blog again. From Room 3.
DeleteWhat a fabulous idea. You should have a very successful term after this.

Kia ora Room 3, Great time to reflect on goals when everyone is jagged. When I am tired is a great time to stop and reflect as I tend to focus on the the things that I need to improve. Having the images as well as the slides helps to see how you used the smackdown in your class.
