This week in Maths we have been gathering and analysing data. Here are some charts we made based on the population of New Zealand (thanks Andrea - you might have to scroll across). This gave us the idea to collect some data for our own school. Stay tuned to see what we found out next week...
Talofa Lava! my name is Krisina. I attend Wesley Intermediate School, and I'm a year 7. I like how Andrea put lots of information about populations, she sounds like an experienced scientist! It makes me think about about how we are doing the same thing in school for mathematics, Statistics! See you sometime on Monday for Open day!

Malo e lelei! My name is Tufui I am from Wesley Primary School and I am in Room 4. I like how you girls and boys are gathering and analysing data. What is interesting for me is finding out the population in New Zealand. Maybe all that work that Andrea has done took a while to make. What I liked he most is the Graph she has made.

ReplyDeleteHi my name is Ruby I Go to Westland High. I really Like your post it is really interesting I never knew that Europeans covered 3x the amount of New Zealand's population than maori did. I think it is really clever that when you move your mouse above a certain part of the graphs the population name comes up with a little label for the population your mouse is above.
ReplyDeleteHappy blogging, bye.
Hey my name is Beata. I am from Westland High and I enjoyed looking at the table and how well it was set out. I really like how you set the table out nice and neatly so it’s easy to read. I remember when I was in primary I did something similar but except I did the table on ages of the students in the school.
