Cultural Festival

Last Saturday was the Eden Albert Cultural Festival. Wesley Primary had five amazing groups including the superb Kapa Haka group. Here are some of the Room 3 students giving it all they've got! Thanks Mr Bruce for the awesome photos.

We've just finished our Room 3 online news reports. They are mostly about camp but we also included a section for sport. Feel free to give our young reporters some feedback about their reports. Or let us know if you find any interesting articles in the news this week...

Strike 3!

Yesterday we had our softball tournament at Keith Hay Park. The Wesley team used positive language and encouraged each other all day. They also showed amazing manners and sportsmanship. We won one of our games 9 - 7 and had a few close games (including a 6 - 7 loss). Lots of great catches and some awesome home runs.

Bush walks, pooters, wētā, dancing, stretchers, tents and scroggin... must be camp!

Last week the Kea Team went to camp at Arataki Visitor's Centre in the Waitakere Ranges. Here are some pictures of our amazing experience. I'll let the students explain what was happening and what they learnt...

5 days until camp!

To get ready for camp we have been researching ways to stay safe on hikes. We learnt five top tips and created infographics to share with you. Here are four of them. Kea, can anyone work out which one is missing and explain it?

100 Word Challenge

This week's challenge was to write exactly 100 words using the words:

Our pledges...

To follow up from our drain game visit we all made pledges about how we can help keep our water clean and safe for us and all other animals. We used food colouring to dye our wet paper, then wrote our pledges on top of them. If you like these designs we will be making calendars out of them next term. Come and see them in Room 3's window!
